Memorandum of Understanding on the transfer of pirates

Prime Minister David Cameron with Prime Minister of Mauritius, Navin Ramgoolam signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the transfer of suspected pirates on 8 June 2012. This will allow the UK to transfer suspected pirates to Mauritius for prosecution, which is a key theme of our regional capacity building programme and an integral part of the fight against piracy off the coast of Somalia.
